Archbishop Paul Cremona recently visited the UK, where he visited Maltese patients receiving medical treatment in London and Surrey, and various Maltese members of the clergy in London. He also attended Malta Day celebrations.

Mgr Cremona was accompanied by High Commissioner of Malta Joseph Zammit Tabona, and Malta High Commission first secretary and consul Hanan El Khatib.

Mgr Cremona travelled to Surrey to visit patients receiving cancer treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. He also visited other Maltese patients and their families at the Puttinu Accommodation.

He visited the Franciscan Fathers who look after after the spiritual needs of Maltese patients and their relatives across the country.

Mgr Cremona also visited the Ursuline Sisters in north London and the Franciscan Sisters in Victoria. The Franciscan Sisters, who offer accommodation and logistical assistance to patients who come to London for medical treatment, hosted a dinner in honour of the Archbishop.

Mgr Cermona was a guest of honour at the Malta Day UK 10th anniversary celebrations. During the morning fair, he met many first, second and third generation Maltese, their families and friends. In the afternoon, he concelebrated Mass at Westminster Cathedral together with Maltese clergy.
