Archbishop Charles Scicluna this morning recalled the death of Pope John Paul II 10 years ago today as he called on priests to follow his motto Totus Tuus (Totally Thine).

This, he said, meant that they should dedicate themselves completely to their flock, helping the weak and the broken.

The Archbishop was delivering the Maundy Thursday homily at St John’s CoCathedral in Valletta this morning.

The oils which are to be used by the Church during the year were blessed during this morning’s celebration, which was also attended by Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona.

Maundy Thursday Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech was held at the Gozo Cathedral.
