Archbishop Charles Scicluna this evening washed the feet of 12 “apostles” during Maundy Thursday Mass at St John's Co-Cathedral.

Men who gave a service to the community were chosen for today’s celebration.

They were Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela, Nationalist Party whip David Agius, assistant commissioner Ray Zammit, Superintendent Stephen Mallia, the head of the Curia’s Safeguarding Commission Andrew Azzopardi, Curia employee Charles Delia, nurses Mark Bonanno, Godwin Catania and Marco Grixti , Caritas voluntary workers Louis Bellizzi and Andre Cassar, Twanny Cutajar from the Hospice Movement and broadcaster Mario Micallef.
