Archbishop Charles Scicluna assumed the Editor's Chair at Times of Malta today and will be responsible for tomorrow's issue of the newspaper.

Mgr Scicluna, the newspaper's first guest editor, was welcomed by Adrian Hillman, managing director, and Steve Mallia, editor-in-chief.

He toured the editorial floor, where he chatted with the staff, and also attended the editorial conference, where he stressed how important it was for the country to preserve its areas of beauty.

Mgr Scicluna then settled in in the editor's office to write the editorial for tomorrow's newspaper. He also attended a question and answer session with Times of Malta journalists, which will be reported on Sunday.

The Archbishop will later attend an editorial conference to map out the priority stories for tomorrow's issue.
