Archbishop Paul Cremona and vicar general Annetto Depasquale have expressed solidarity with Gozo Bishop Mario Grech who was yesterday the target of insults written on the walls of the Gozo Curia.

Mgr Grech yesterday said the allegations defamed his work as spiritual shepherd and were related to decisions he might have taken to protect the interest of Gozitan churches.

Mgr Grech said that, although he was satisfied that many loved the Church, he regretted occasionally noticing signs of lack of comprehension and collaboration. He called for solidarity.
