Archbishop Paul Cremona visited Farsons brewery in Mrieħel yesterday and blessed two holy icons which will be installed in the chapel to mark the occasion.

The visit, which included holy Mass and a meeting with workers and management, formed part of the activities marking the 80th anniversary of Farsons. It also comes just days before the feast of St Joseph the Worker on May 1. Mgr Cremona was welcomed by company chairman Bryan Gera and Group chief executive officer, Louis A. Farrugia.

Mr Gera said the company had always striven to be a model employer as evidenced by various written testimonials by Malta's leading authorities.

In his homily, the Archbishop dwelt on the importance of the dignity of the worker. He said he was aware of the harmonious relationship that existed between management and employees.
