An award ceremony was held at Aġenzija Żgħażagħ’s premises, where 18 students were presented with an acceptance letter entitling them to benefit from an interest rate subsidy through the YSSS scheme, as recommended by the credentials committee.

For the past years, APS Bank and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ have collaborated in supporting students who wish to further their studies abroad or by distance learning with financial assistance. This arrangement allows a number of students to benefit from a subsidised study loan carrying favourable terms.

The awards were presented by Aaron Mifsud, senior manager, Retail, at APS Bank, Miriam Teuma, CEO at Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, and Ryan Borg, chief of staff at the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations.

During the ceremony Mr Mifsud said: “Assisting students during this important stage of their lives is in line with the bank’s vision to help the community. Congratulations to all the students who were successful through this year’s scheme and we look forward to continue working with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ to help more students in the coming years.”
