Pierre Pace, MBA (Henley) FCCA, FIA, MCMI (UK), DMS, CPA, has been appointed one of 30 members from all over the world, of the distinguished Consultative Group of the Public Sector Committee of the International Federation of Accountants, the world body regulating the profession of accountants and auditors, both in the private and public sectors.

The consultative group is a forum of international experts in public sector accounting and auditing issues, who act as consultants, pro-actively discussing emerging issues in the world profession, and providing specialist advice to the Public Sector Committee on the available solutions of such prevailing problems, that would eventually be regulated through the issue of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

Mr Pace (left), currently director of Internal Audit and Financial Investigations at the Cabinet Office, Office of the Prime Minister, was specifically selected because of his high academic standing and expertise, as well as his many extensive contributions towards the effective development of the public sector accounting and auditing profession in Malta. He will be one of six experts hailing from the European region.

Mr Pace is married to Natalie née Micallef Somerville. They have two children, JeanPierre and Gabrielle.
