The first session of the end of Primary Benchmark will be taking place between May 26 and June 2 and the second session between June 15 and 19 June 2015 015, the Director General for Quality and Standards in Education said.

Application forms for the second session may be collected from the Educational Assessment Unit, c/o Maria Assumpta Girls’ Secondary School, Joseph Abela Scholaro Street, Ħamrun or The Education Office, Gozo, as from today.

Alternatively, an application form may be downloaded from the website http://www.curriculum.gov.mt.

The application forms are intended for those Year 6 pupils who currently attend a church or an independent school that will not be participating in the first session of the end of Primary Benchmark. In the case of other candidates who were sick or absent in the first session for any component, the Educational Assessment Unit will automatically assume that they will be sitting the missed component, in the Second Session. These children therefore need not apply. However, a passport-sized photo needs to be handed in to the head of school by 8 June 2015.

Applications must reach the Educational Assessment Unit, c/o Maria Assumpta Girls’ Secondary School, Joseph Abela Scholaro Street, Ħamrun, or The Education Office, Rabat, Gozo, by not later than 15 May 2015. Requests for Exemptions from any Benchmark component, or requests for the provision of Access Arrangements, will be considered on the submission of the requested evidence provided for the First Session of the End of Primary Benchmark.

Candidates who are applying for the Second Session as private candidates, as the school they attend did not participate in the end of Primary Benchmark First Session, and who are eligible for access arrangements are to contact the Educational Assessment Unit on 25982139 by 15 May 2014.
