Two members of One Direction are having to post bonds worth about €4,600 each - to be forfeited if they are caught using or promoting illegal drugs while in the Philippines.

The five-member band performs on Saturday and Sunday at the seaside Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Manila.

Band members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have been required to post a 200,000 pesos  bond and a 20,000 pesos processing fee each through their concert producer for their special work permits.

The Anti-Drugs Advocate group called on the Philippine Bureau of Immigration to scrutinise the band members' permits following a video that circulated on the internet of Malik and Tomlinson purportedly smoking marijuana.
