Vodafone Malta has set up a skating rink at Floriana as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

The inauguration, this afternoon, came hot on the heels of the opening of another skating rink by The Point at Tigne just over a week ago.

The Floriana rink, opposite the Phoenica Hotel, was inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary Chris Said, who said this was an example of how companies gave something back to their customers in order to foster healthier relationships built on mutual trust.

Use of the rink is free of charge for everyone, although collections for charity are being made.

"Being present within the Maltese community and giving something back to the public is of great importance to us and it is always our priority when planning our yearly activities,” Vodafone brand manager Maria Vella Galea said.

First aid marshalls will be on site at all times.

The rink remains open up to December 28 except for Christmas Day, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Another rink outside Arkadia, Gozo, will be set up at the end of the month.
