Maltese model, Sofia Mifsud has been shortlisted among the final 200 applicants to take part in next year’s Top Model UK, a competitor show to Britain's Next Top Model.

Carina Camilleri, director of models.com.mt, and local agent of Britain's Next Top Model winner Tiffany Pisani, confirmed that Ms Mifsud was chosen for Top Model UK (and not BNTM, as reported) from thousands of applicants to reach the final selection.

Ms Camilleri, who scouted Tiffany five years ago as she was walking out of the dentist’s, said that she was inundated with requests for representation by Tiffany.

“I got hundreds of emails requesting Tiffany to head their campaign in Malta and even here in the UK”.

She confirmed that Models.com.mt will still be the subsidiary agents for Tiffany in Malta, “Obviously Models 1 will be the mother agency.”

She said she had the opportunity to speak to show host, supermodel Elle Macpherson at length after the BNTM final.

“Elle was very delighted with the result and said that Tiffany won the contest because she’s an all rounder and offered the whole package.”
