CAUCHI. On July 6, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, MARY, widow of Paul, passed away peacefully in her 100th year, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is survived by her children Doris and her husband Tony Cesareo, Anna and her husband Joe Busuttil, Nanette and her husband Derek Bradbury, Alfred, Maria and her husband Paul Bugeja, Judy and her husband David Brown, and Bryan and his wife Lucienne, her grandchildren, her in-laws Irene Grech (USA) and Marguerite Cauchi (UK), her nephews and nieces, and other relatives. Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, July 8 at 9am at St Julians parish church, followed by burial in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers, please, but donations to the Holy Family Home, Naxxar, and the Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, would be appreciated. May she rest in peace. The family would like to thank the consultant, her grandchildren Simon and Brenda, and the staff at Holy Family Home, Naxxar, and St James Capua Hospital, for their care and dedication.
GALEA. On July 5, at Pax et Bonum, Mosta, Sr. SKOLASTIKA, OSB, aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her fellow Benedictine nuns of Mdina, her sister Violet, her brothers Alexander and his wife Silvia and Alfred and his wife Emily, her many nephews and nieces, their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.15am for St Peter’s monastery, Mdina, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Mother Abbess Maria Adeodata Testaferrata de Noto, OSB, and the nuns would like to express their special thanks to the sisters and staff of Pax et Bonum for their love, dedication and support. LIVORI. On July 5, YVONNE went to meet the Risen Lord, aged 68. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Cetty and her husband Vince Bonnici, Sylvia and her husband Emanuel Borg Caruana, and Mary and her husband Edwin Mangion, their respective families, her nephews and nieces Lorraine, Gian Carlo, Christine, Roberto, Alexia, Sharon and Keith and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MOELLER. Suddenly, on July 5, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, CLAUS JUERGEN of Burmarrad, aged 74. He leaves to mourn his loss his partner Mario, his brother Kurt and his nephew Malte and his friends in Malta and Germany. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 4pm for the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish church, Burmarrad, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm, followed by interment at Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. SAMMUT. On July 5, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, ANTHONY, known as Tony il-Popeye, ex-PS 1199, of St Paul’s Bay, aged 67, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gloria, his children Hesron and Angela and her husband Etienne, his grandchildren JD, Shanaia, Andriy, and Shelbie, his sisters Doris and her husband Derick and Marvic, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 7am for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am followed by interment in the family grave at Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay.
