BALZAN. With regret we announce the death of ERNEST, from Marsascala, who passed away peacefully at Casa Francesco on January 31, at 79 years of age. BORDA, on January 30, MARIANNA, widow of Joseph, of Ħamrun and residing in Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa, aged 91 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joseph, Andrew, Margaret, Freddie, Rita, Anna and Rose, their respective spouses, Catherine widow of her son Charles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter, her sister in-law Tonina Spiteri, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment at Naxxar Cemetery. CARUANA. On January 31, at Id-Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Rev. Monsignor Canon ĠUŻEPPI, of Vittoriosa, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church after a life time of service. He leaves to mourn his loss his brothers Lawrence and Charles, his sister Grace, his beloved nephews and nieces, the Reverend Chapter of the Collegiate church of St Lawrence, the people of Vittoriosa, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Id-Dar tal-Kleru today at 3pm for the Collegiate and Conventual Church of St Lawrence, Vittoriosa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm followed by interment in the vault of the Reverend Clergy at St Lawrence Cemetery. CHETCUTI. On January 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIO of Mosta, residing at St Paul’s Bay, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marlene, his children Mark and his wife Anabelle and Lisa and her husband Anthony, his beloved grandchildren Yasmin, Chloe and Elias, his brothers Joe, Dr Paul Chetcuti, Valentino, Tonio and their spouses, nephews and niece, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, February 3 at 3pm for Mosta parish church were Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FIORINI. On January 30, passed away peacefully at his home in Toronto, Canada, Dr GODFREY FIORINI. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Rita, his children Maureen, Cynthia and Lloyd, his sister Eileen, his brother Cecil, his grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and his many friends in Malta and Canada. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GRECH. On January 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Zammit, widow of Alfred, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Henry and his wife Cecilia, James and his wife Emily, and John and his wife Anna, her three granddaughters Sara, Nicole and Rebecca and their fiancés, her brothers Joseph, Paul and his wife Antoinette, Rita Zammit, widow of her brother Frank, her sister-in-law Ġemma and her husband Carmel Debono, her brother-in-law Fr Carmel Grech, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Fleur-de-Lys, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. MELI. On January 31, MIRIAM née Darmanin, widow of Edwin, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Joanna, Adrian and Mylène, Stephen and Lorraine; her grandchildren, Alexia and Mark, Mark and Sacha, Sean, Hannah, Sascha, Edward and Daniela; her great-granddaughters Sophie and Sienna; her sisters in-law Mary Rose Darmanin and Josephine Meli, her nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
