BONELLO. On September 30, SAVIOUR, former Commissioner of Lands, of Dingli, residing at Birkirkara, widower of Doris, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother-in-law Joseph P. Vella and his wife Theresa, his nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, October 3 at 8am for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Dingli cemetery. MICALLEF. On September 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEL of Rabat, aged 83, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lily, née Carr, his son Charles and his wife Antoinette, his grandchildren Stephen and his wife Claudia, Melanie and her partner Marvin, and Christopher, his great-granddaughters Elise and Emily, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Paul’s Collegiate parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta cemetery. PEARSON. On September 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, 28 days after his father’s death, ALBERT of Rabat, (ex-Rabat FC and Sliema Wanderers FC), aged 66, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Julie, his daughters Sara and her fiancé Gilbert and Abby and her husband Silvio, his grandchildren Nicole and Nate, his brother-in-law Charlie, widower of his sister Miriam, and his partner Rosette, his brother-in-law Steve and his wife Mandy, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, October 2 at 4pm for Ta’ Ġieżu church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm, followed by interment at the Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAHRA. On September 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 85. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Rose, his daughter Pat, wife of Mario Schembri Wismayer and his son Richard, husband of Bernardette, his grandsons Matthew, Max and Sean, his sisters Frances Camps residing in the UK, and Carrie, other relatives and his many friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, October 1, at 2.30pm at Pembroke Parish Church (Resurrection of Jesus) followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SOLER – ANTHONY. Treasured memories of a dear husband and loving father on this 20th anniversary of his demise. Fondly remembered by his wife Jean and his sons Richard and Mark and their families, his brothers Edgar and Ray, his sister Elizabeth and their families. A Mass for the repose of his soul is to be said today at 6pm at the Ursuline Crêche chapel, Sliema.

St Paul Choral Society

The St Paul Choral Society will present a concert of French and Maltese sacred music in aid of the Richmond Foundation. The event will be held on Friday at 7.30pm at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta. Entrance is free.

Those attending are not to wear stiletto or narrow heels.
