AGIUS. On May 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, née Alessandro, widow of John, of Senglea, residing at Marsascala, went to meet the Risen Lord, aged 97. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Rose and her husband Tony Mifsud, Carmen and her husband Louis Bishop, Laura, and Fr Victor Agius of the Philippines, her grandchildren Adrian and his wife Nathalie, Joanne and her husband Ivan, Daniel and his wife Karen, her great-grandchildren Marija, Klara, Karl, Aiden, Kieran and Emma, and her relatives, including Bishop Joseph Alessandro of Kenya, Fr Joseph Bonnici, OP, and Fr Harry Formosa, SJ, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15am for Marsascala parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ATTARD BONDI. On May 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr VICTOR ATTARD BONDI, MD, formerly of Victoria, Gozo, residing in Sliema, widower of Irene, née Camilleri, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only son Dennis and his wife Michelle, his beloved grandchildren Emma and Matthew, his sisters Lina, wife of Eddie Sullivan and Grace, wife of Frank Fenech, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends both in Malta and Gozo. As former president he will be greatly missed by Victoria Hotspurs and Luqa St Andrews Football Clubs. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. McMONAGLE. On May 5, at Villa Messina, Rabat, JOAN, née Azzopardi, of Floriana and residing at Villa Messina, widow of Daniel, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Sandra and her husband Wally, Steve and his wife Antuanette, Patrick, Charles and his wife Sue, Carry and her husband Benny, Dorithy and her husband Joe, Kathleen and her husband Joe, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives in Ireland and friends. PACE. In memory of RAYMOND, a loving father who dedicated all his life to his family, who passed away on May 5, aged 54. SCIORTINO. On March 29, in Orlando, Florida, Sr MARIA SCIORTINO, SNJM, of Attard, aged 66, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her religious community, her sisters Sr Tessie OP and Jane, her brothers Michael, Joseph and Anthony and their respective wives Sylvia, Mary and Mary Ann, her uncle Joseph and his wife Miriam, nephews and nieces,relatives and friends in Malta and in the US. Sr Maria served St Mary Magdalen Catholic School for 37 years as a Maths teacher to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and was assistant principal. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at Attard parish church at 4.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Żebbuġ. Lord grant her eternal rest.
