AXISA. On April 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES, from Valletta, (k/a Charlie l-Landa), comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 59. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his children Carlos and his wife Rita, Clint and his wife Simone, Charmaine and her partner Clint Police, and Clyde, his brothers Paul and his wife Janette, Vince and his wife Rosette, Ronnie and his wife Ivanka, his sister Carmen and her husband Raymond Micallef, his mother Carmelin, widow of Emanuel, his brothers and sister in-law Johnny and his wife Dolores, Paul and his wife Tessie, Martin and his wife Anna, George and his wife Hilda, Rita and her husband Edward, his mother in-law Miriam and his father in-law Joseph, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for St Dominic parish church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CUSCHIERI. On April 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (ex-President, Malta Catholic Action Movement), of Floriana aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only sister Lina, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30am for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VELLA. On April 15, at Casa Leone XIII, St Julian’s, CARMEL of Sliema, passed away peacefully at the venerable age of 100, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maria Dolores (Dolly), née Farrugia, his brother Dr Albert Vella, MD and his wife Carmen, residing in Australia, his sisters Carmelina Sciberras and Imelda Micallef, his brother-in-law Joe and his wife Lynette Farrugia, his numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Joseph Home, Sta Venera will be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of Casa Leone for all their care and dedication.
