ABELA LANZON. On April 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARGARET, née Caruana, aged 82, of Marsa­scala, widow of Michael, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Joseph and his wife Marcelle, Michael and his wife Jacqueline, Anna and her husband Laurence Brincat, Monica and her husband Anton Debono, her grandchildren Norah and her partner Alan, Bertha and her partner Mark, Mark and Gabriel, Julian and Jeremy, Daniel, Alexander and Charlotte, her great-grandchildren Isaiah and Mia, her sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends and her dedicated carer Brenda. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.15pm for St Anne’s parish church, Marsascala, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Dear Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BAJADA. On April 5, ADRIAN, aged 61, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved Mary Rose, his sons David and Isaac, his sister Helga and her husband Joe Fava, his brother Winston, his nephew Mark Fava and his wife Joyce, his in-laws, Lawrence and Winnie Pace, Ann Marie and John A. Gauci-Maistre, Joseph Pace, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei today at 1.30pm for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by private interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. BUHAGIAR. On April 6, at Boffa Hospital, Sr M. CONCETTA (Giuseppina) of the Sisters of Charity, aged 91, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for the Sisters’ convent at 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. EBEJER. On April 4, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, MARY ANNE, aged 58, daughter of the late Rose and Walter Ebejer, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Martin and his wife Marguerite and Adrian and his wife Anna, her sisters Lucienne and her husband Jo Said, and Bernie, her nephews and nieces Karl, Christina and her husband Ali Acar, Amanda, Philippa and her husband Joseph Arrigo, Jonathan, Simon, Kate, Nikki, Tara, Philip, Ayla and Shaun, other relatives and many close friends. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for St Julians parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and friends who looked after Mary Anne during her long illness. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ZAMMIT MCKEON. On April 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUELA, aged 94, widow of Joseph, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Alfred and his wife Elena, Philip and his wife Carmen, Alexander and his partner Josephine, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.45pm for Żebbuġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Żebbuġ. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mater Dei Hospital and Dar Saura in Rabat who cared for her. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Marian meeting

The Lay Fraternity of Charles de Foucauld will be holding a meeting on the Visitation of Our Lady on Sunday from 9.30am to 1.30pm at St Joseph Retreat House, Rabat, in front of St Domenic’s church. The programme includes adoration, a talk by Fr Joe Fsadni and Mass.

Mosta bazaar

A bazaar will be held at Papa Wojtyla Hall at the Immaculate Conception Oratory, Mosta between April 22 and 26 from 8.30 to 11.30am and 4.30pm to 6pm. On April 28, the bazaar will only open in the morning.
