FARRUGIA. On March 19, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, CARMELO, originally from Naxxar, lived in Sliema, passed away peacefully, aged 94, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rita, his children Josephine and Ben, grandchildren Charlotte, Joanne and Malcolm, great-grandchildren Hannah, Roseanne and Jamie, his wife’s sister Ċensina, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence tomorrow at 1.30pm for Sacro Cuor church in Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavare will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza are welcome. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VELLA – GODFREY. Treasured memories of a beloved husband, father and grandfather on the 15th anniversary of his death. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by Lucienne, Marylene and Stephen and Alexia.

Walk Of Faith in Dingli

The Lent commission of St Mary Band Club in Dingli will be holding its annual Holy Week pageant with the theme Walk Of Faith. It will be held on Palm Sunday from10am till noon. Through the pageant, the organisers want to convey the message of faith. More than 130 biblical personages will participate, accompanied by St Mary Band, the scouts and the girl guides of Dingli.

During Holy Week, the band club will also be holding an artistic exhibition of the Last Supper, themed Do This In Memory Of Me. The exhibition will include original displays made from salt, seeds and pasta. Good Friday statues will also be on display.

Breast cancer walk

Europa Donna Malta, Breast Care Support Group, will hold its annual awareness walk for breast cancer on Sunday.

The walk, themed Walk The Pink Road Together, starts from The Mall, in Floriana at 9.15am and ends at the Sliema Ferries.

The group’s new premises in Floriana will be open on Saturday from 9am to 6pm for registration that can also take place on Sunday at 8.45am.

Consumer affairs seminar

The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority will be holding a seminar to raise awareness on the services it offers. The half-day seminar will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta on April 5 between 8.45am and 1.15pm.
