CAUCHI. On February 13, at his resident, DENIS F. (ex-president of the Għaqda Veterani Laburisti) of San Ġwann, aged 73, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marlene, his children Lorna and her husband Mark Callus, Etienne and his fiancée Sveta, his grandchildren Mark Anthony, Bernard, Kelly and Alexander, his sister Marie and her husband Carmel Mifsud, his brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. MUSCAT. On August 9, Sister CARMELA, aged 105, went to meet her Risen Lord at Mater Dei Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss the religious of the Society of the Sacred Heart, her nephews and nieces Joseph Muscat, Carmelina Pagnelli, Amelia and Anthony Mangion, Carmena Wallbank, Theresa Coney, Ninu and Lilly Farrugia, Dolly, wife of the late Louis Muscat, Mary, wife of the late Joseph Muscat, Mary, wife of the late Joseph Farrugia, great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. SCHEMBRI – On February 13, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, FRANCESKA, aged 86, widow of Michael, ex-midwife at Blue Sisters, Żebbuġ and Siġġiewi, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Manuel and Ġużi and his wife Bridget, their children Mario, Franco, Steven, Natasha and Sergio, their respective spouses, her daughter Carmen, widow of Pio Borg and their children Michelle and Annabelle, her eight grandchildren, her siblings Żarena and Melita, in-law Lilly Schembri, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence tomorrow at 7.15 a.m. for the Żebbuġ parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 7.45 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Siġġiewi cemetery. VASSALLO. On February 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTONIA (known as Nina), aged 95, from Rabat residing in Birkirkara, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Rose and her husband Patrick Formosa and their children Maria and her husband Carmel Borg, Samuel and his wife Tanya Formosa, grandchildren Gabriel, Timothy, Raquel and Daniel, her sister Pawlina, widow of Rokku Buhagiar, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Francis church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Addolorata cemetery. VELLA. On February 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, INES née Vassallo, aged 88, of Sliema, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her only son Fr Noel Vella, vice parish priest of St Gregory church, Sliema, her sisters Evelyn Vassallo and Lina Galea, her sister-in-law Connie Vassallo, widow of her brother Frank, her brother-in-law Tony Vella and his wife Josephine, nephews and nieces, especially Rosa and Eric Galea, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
