ATTARD. On January 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, CLARA LILIANA, (known as Lily), née Demajo, aged 90, widow of Chev. Reginald Attard, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her ever-loving children John, Maria, Michael, Paul, Helen, Eileen and Anne and their respective spouses and partners, her grandchildren Roberta, Paul, Vanessa, Pamela, Mark, Joanna and her husband Romeo, Keith, Kevin and his wife Jackie, Rhian and her husband Paul, Luigino and his wife Antonia, Ruth, Joseph, Paula-Antonia, Michael, Reginald, Kurt, Jade, Kristina, Claire and Suzanne and her eight great grandchildren, her brothers and sisters Helen (k/a Nelly), Mary, Ronnie, Claire and Joseph and her in-laws, relatives and friends in Malta and abroad. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 1.30 p.m. for Għargħur parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIFSUD. On January 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL (Ex-PC 538), aged 89, widower of Antonia, of Mosta, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Rose and her husband Victor Gatt, Carmen and her husband George Gatt,Joe and his wife Alice, Sylvia and her husband Patrick Raymond,Mary and her husband Albert Mifsud,Emanuel and his wife Susan,John and his wife Rita, Angelo and his wife Catherine,grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 14, at Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m.The family would like to thank all the nurses at M5 and carers and nurses at Casa Arkati, Mosta, for their care and support throughout his stay at the home. May God grant him eternal rest, together with his late wife Antonia, his son George and his wife Sylvia.

Requiem Mass

A requiem mass will be held on Sunday January 16 at St John’s Co-Cathedral at noon for the repose of the soul of Colonel TOMMY ANASTASI PACE KM, OBE, MD, L/RAMC who died in London on November 22, 2010.

Australia day in Gozo

The Committee Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni will be holding a prayer meeting at Girgenti, Siġġiewi on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Rabat band march

A march by the L’Isle Adam band will be held as part of the celebrations of the feast of St Anthony the Abbot at Rabat on January 16 at 9.30 p.m.

The band will march along St Joseph Street, L’Isle Adam Square and Saint Augustine Street under the direction of Mro Joseph Galea. The feast is being organised by the Arch-Confraternity of Our Lady of Consolation and Saint Anthony the Abbot.
