He leaves to mourn his loss his children Ruth Maria and Keith Mario, his mother Rose, his brother Raymond Mario and his wife Marisa and their son Kevin, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Emma, his children Tania, widow of Oliver Cauchi, Pierre and his wife Jacqueline, his grandsons Ryan and Owen, his brother, his in-laws and their respective families, other relatives and friends. CORDINA. On December 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, WILLIAM of St Julians, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Spira, his children Charlie and his wife Josephine, John and his wife Patricia, Mary and her husband Bill Slade, Joe and his wife Pauline, Rita and her husband Pio Farrugia, his numerous grandchildren, his brother and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. MORANA. On December 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINETTE, née Pisani, of Luqa, aged 62, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Anton Morana, her children by her late husband William Gill, her son Robert Gill and his wife Dominique, her daughter Maria Gill and her husband Emmanuel, her daughter Andrea Morana and her fiancé Massimo, and her grandchildren Martina, Thomas and Elizabeth, her mother Frances of Ħamrun, widow of Carmel, her brother Dr Saviour Pisani and her sister Miriam, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. PISCOPO. On December 6, at his residence, TWANNY of Floriana, aged 76, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. TABONE. On December 6, at her home in Victoria, ĠORĠA, ex-midwife, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss nephews and nieces, amongst whom Mgr. George Tabone, Fr Marcel Tabone, Sister Maria Assunta, OSC, Sister Doris Tabone of the Qaddejja taċ-Ċenaklu, and Ġiġa, who used to look after her, relatives and friends. Between 8.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. in Marsalforn Road, Daħla Tal- Ħarrax, Ta’ Gerxija and Ta’ Kuljat valleys, Tal-Mannu and the surrounding area in Marsalforn.

Between 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Tal-Għall Street, Qasam ta’ San Ġorġ, Ta’ Mejjieli and ta’ Ħabel Żwejra area and the surrounding localities in Salina.

There will be no power on Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Bir Rix, Sta Luċija, Qasam San Ġorġ streets and Sta Luċija Square and the surrounding areas in Sta Luċija.

Seminar on women’s rights

A half-day seminar titled Why Are Women Always Demanding More Rights? will be held on Friday between 8.30 a.m. to 12.20 p.m. at the Radisson Blu Resort in St Julians.

The aim of the event, organised by the Malta Confederation of Women’s Organisations, is to highlight international and local legislation as well as policies that regulate society and how these impact women’s lifestyles.

Mater Admirabilis Training College
