PACE. On November 30, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, JANET of St Julians, aged 73, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by her children and family. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved husband Charlie, her children Alvin, Alex, Adrian and Eunice, their spouses, her brother Ronnie Galea, her grandchildren Yana, Kirsty, Elysia, Raina, Keith, Emma, Nadesh, Aaron and Bjorn, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

Talk on autism

An outlook on environmental causes that could relate to autism and appropriate biomedical cures is the theme of a talk the Autism Parents Association will hold at the Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. with the main speaker being Nicola Antonucci, a Defeat Autism Now practitioner.

Parents of children with autism and professionals working with such children can attend.

Images of China

China in the Eyes of the Maltese is the theme of a photographic exhibition by Patrice Peyre being held at the China Culture Centre in Valletta, until December 30.

Mr Peyre, who has been to China twice, is sharing the moments he experienced in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Sichuan and Tibet. Entrance to the exhibition is free.

Longer postal services

Maltapost is extending the opening hours of various branches, the parcel office and its delivery service to keep up the quality of its service during the peak Christmas period.

Postal services in the head office branch will be available Monday to Saturday between 8 a .m. and 5 p.m. while the parcel office (for collection of notified non-dutiable parcels, bulky packets and EMS items) will be open Monday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Customs clearance service at the head office will be available Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. and from 1.45 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. Maltapost can also clear items from Customs on the customer’s behalf at a nominal fee upon receiving authorisation from clients.

From December 9, the postal services at Mosta, Rabat, Birkirkara, Paola and Sliema will be available from Monday to Friday between 7.30 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. and 4 to 7.30 p.m. and Saturday between 7.30 a.m. and 12.45 p.m.

The Maltapost branch in Castille Square, Valletta will be open Monday to Friday between 8.15 a.m. and 3.45 p.m. and 4 and 7p.m. and on Saturday between 8.15 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

Maltapost’s nationwide delivery service is being extended until 9 p.m. between Monday to Sunday until December 23.
