ATTARD MONTALTO. On October 27, DORIS, née Sceberras Trigona, aged 88, residing at Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Joe and her children Angela and her husband Gaetano Tassone, Hugh and his wife Terry, Simone and her husband Salvatore Tassone and Richard and his wife Carole, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. The funeral leaves Charella Home, Sliema, tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MUSCAT. On October 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, from Swieqi, aged 59, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Helen, his son Matthew, his sisters Grace and her husband Martin, Carmen and her husband Michael and Miriam and her husband Adrian, his brothers Lorry and his wife Rita, Peter and his wife Carmen, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for St Julians parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.15 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers or visitors by request. Donations to the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Modern-day values

The Centre of Ignatian Spirituality is screening a series of films which help the audience reflect on the values of modern society. Each film will be followed by a discussion in the light of Christian faith.

Today’s film is Changeling. It starts at 7.30 p.m. and will be screened at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Tarġa Gap, Mosta. The discussion will be led by Fr Pierre Grech Marguerat.
