ATTARD. On October 13, at St Vincent de Paul residence, SPIRA, of Ħamrun, widow of Carmelo, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Antoinette, Daidi, Joe, Freddie, Martin and Sandra, their spouses, her grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of Mother Theresa Ward 3 for all their care shown towards their loved one. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

On October 12, at her residence in Sliema, ADELAIDE, née Aquilina (Eileen), widow of George, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her children May and her husband Walter Vigar, Monica and her husband Joe Sant, Marion, Pauline and her husband Alex Coppola, David and his wife Angela, Christine and her husband Charles Borg, her grandchildren and their spouses, great-grandchildren, her respective sisters, Doris and her husband Anthony, Carmen, Cecilia and her husband Andrew, and Anna and her husband William, Antoinette, widow of her brother Joe, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral leaves her residence today at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Policy and crime

The Institute of Criminology at the University of Malta will be holding a seminar on Ethnic Minorities And Social Exclusion: Implications For Policy And Crime on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Gateway Building on the Msida campus. Frances Camilleri Cassar, from the University of Malta, and Paul Knepper, from the University of Sheffield, will address the seminar.
