GATT. On October 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES (ex-Deputy General Manager, Mid-Med Bank), aged 73, of Sliema, passed away suddenly comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreplaceable loss his wife Maryann, née Wells, his children Suzanne, wife of John Torpiano, Andrew and his partner Michelle Attard, his in-laws George and Silvia Wells, his nieces and his many relatives, colleagues and friends. MONACO. On October 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, MAURICE of Qawra, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Charelle and her husband Reuben Abela, Anne-Marie and her husband Henri Saliba, his grandson Mark, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PAIN. On September 25, MICHAEL, aged 67, passed away peacefully while on holiday in Italy. He leaves to mourn his great loss, his daughter Suzanne, his sons Martyn and Eugene, his beloved grandchildren Darren, Samantha, Matthew and Sam, family and friends. SEYCHELL. On October 5, ANTONIA née Deflavia, aged 98, widow of PAUL from Marsa, residing at Sta Venera, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Mario and his wife Sylvia, Lily and her husband Freddy of Canada, Mary and her husband Joe of Australia, And­rew and his wife Katie, Josephine, Katherine and her husband Joe, Joseph and his wife Joyce, her eight grandchildren and her seven great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Police band concert

The South Wales Police Band will be performing at the Sliema band club, in St Trophimus Street, Sliema at noon on Saturday.

The event is in aid of the Anglican Chaplaincy. Entry is by programme available at the door for a minimum donation of €5.
