BARTOLO. On August 16, SALVATORE (ex Enemalta employee – Sliema District), aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Theresa née Sammut, his sons Emmanuel and his wife Monica, Joseph and his wife Grace, George and his wife Fiona, his daughter Carmen and her husband Joseph Tonna, his beloved grandchildren Glenn, Daniel, Karl, Luke, Nicholas, Amanda, Jean-Paul and Omar, his sister, their families, other relatives of friends. CUSCHIERI. On August 15, RITA née Azzopardi, of Lija, aged 78, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Lorry, her son John and his wife Antoinette, Felix and his wife Doris, Anna and her husband Godfrey, Mariella and her husband Paul and Raymond and his wife Elaine, grandchildren and her sister Marianna Tanti, relatives and friends. GRECH DIMECH. On August 15, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Mgr VICTOR GRECH DIMECH, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Wanda, his cousins Ronnie Cremona, George Cremona and Baron Salvino Testaferrata and their families, Mary Cesare Benvenuti née Cremona, other relatives and friends. PACE. On August 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANCIS, of Sliema, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons John and wife Doris, Tony and wife Margaret, his grandchildren, great-grand­children, his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. SCARROW. On August 15, at home in Xagħra, JAN, passed away peacefully cared for and comforted by her husband, Dr Paul Scarrow, daughter Rhiannon and close friend Bettine. A short illness took her from us and we all, family and friends, deeply mourn her passing. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 9 a.m. on Friday for a short service and subsequent burial at sea from the Hay Wharf, adjacent to the Excelsior Hotel, Valletta, departing for sea at 10 a.m. A celebration of Jan’s life will follow in the early evening, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Calypso Hotel, Marsalforn.

TABONE. On August 16, NERIKU, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at his residence in Sliema, surrounded by his dear family. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Polly, his children Fr Charles, of the Order of Preachers, Rita and her husband Martin Scicluna, Paul, Alex and his wife Natasha, Jason and his wife Liana, his three brothers and sister, and his 12 grandchildren. Power cuts

Sliema sub-post office

Maltapost yesterday notified that the sub-post office at Malton Stationery, 7, Censu Xerri Street, Sliema will be closed for business from Saturday until Monday, both days included.

The public may use the Sliema branch at 118, Manwel Dimech Street during this period.
