AGIUS. On March 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, WENZA, from Siġġiewi and residing in Mosta, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Katie and her husband Tommy Busuttil, Mary and her husband Charlie Saliba, Reno and his wife Anna, Anġlu and his wife Carmen, her grandchildren Stephen, Richard, Gerald, Lorraine, Rainier, Nevil and John, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei tomorrow at 3 p.m. for the Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Mosta parish cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttino Cares will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FENECH. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, Maestro JOSEPH FENECH of Naxxar, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosina, née Bonavia, his children, Victor and his wife Carmen, Doris and her husband Eusebio, Jane and her husband Mario, Josette and her husband Charlie, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3.15 p.m. for Naxxar parish church where Mass will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

A Mass for the repose of the soul of RITA RADMILLI will be said at St Patrick's church, Sliema, today at 7 p.m. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.

Caruana Dingli exhibition postponed

An exhibition of works by Edward Caruana Dingli, originally scheduled for the Palace in Valletta in April, has been postponed to May and will run for a month.

The change in date occurred because the Palace has to be available for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

The exhibition is being organised by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti and will showcase some 250 of Caruana Dingli's portraits, landscapes and folkloristic scenes.

Lecture on Punic Malta

A lecture organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa entitled Punic Roman Malta - A Working Hypothesis will be given by Fr Eugene Teuma on April 8 at 6 p.m. Admission is free but donations to DLH's ongoing restoration programmes will be appreciated.

Horticultural show

The Malta Horticultural Society will hold its 107th edition of the annual Great Spring Flower Show at San Anton Gardens on May 1 and 2. Opening hours on May 1 are from 2 to 10 p.m. and on May 2 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The entrance fee is €1 for adults and children under 12 go in for free.
