FALZON. Yesterday, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY ROSE, 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joseph and his wife Luky, Monica and her husband Anthony, Carmen wife of the late Lino, her grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.10 p.m. for the Attard parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Villa Mgr Gonzi will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

SCALPELLO. On August 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED of Valletta, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maryrose, née Sammut, his children Simone, Marcelle Romina and her husband Anthony Muscat, his mother Carmena, his grandchildren Carl and Martina, his sisters and brother, Maryanne and her husband Charles Meilaq, Tania and her husband Ken Walters, and Brother Lino Scalpello, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VELLA. On August 28, at Dar Sant'Anna, Senglea, JOSEPH C., of Cospicua and residing at Tarxien, former Head Teacher Government Primary Schools, aged 80 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his son Dr Mario Pio, his sister-in-law Frances, his cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Dar Sant'Anna, Senglea, today at 2 p.m., for the collegiate parish church of the Immaculate Conception, Cospicua, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi will be greatly appreciated. The family regrets that they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
