BINETT. On June 26, at her sister's residence in Sliema, GIULIA, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sisters Violet Binett and Emelda Spiteri née Binett, her several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was also sister of the late Rita Mangion, Mary Tanti and Stella Bezzina, all née Binett. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maria, his children Carmen and her husband John Cushing, Ċettina and her husband Żaren Zahra, Rita and her husband Silvio Busuttil, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow to Blue Grotto Avenue for a cortege at 3 p.m. accompanied by the Queen Victoria Band. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at St Catherine parish church, Żurrieq at 4 p.m. followed by interment at the Żurrieq cemetery. BUGEJA. On June 28, Emanuel, former Band Master and honorary lifetime Band Master of the Queen Victoria Band Club, Żurrieq, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. The Carmelite Society and Queen Victoria Band Club, Żurrieq, wish to announce that there will be funeral cortege tomorrow at 3 p.m. starting from Blue Grotto Avenue, accompanied by the Queen Victoria Band. BRINCAT. On June 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL M., aged 74, director and owner of Confort Travel, Msida. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Vincenza, his sons Andrew and his wife Maria, Joseph and his wife Claudia, his grandchildren Nicole, Bernard and Mark, his dearest friends Ronald and his wife Doris, other relatives and friends, especially his University of the Third Age friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Msida parish church, where Mass will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. Magro brothers say it with trees

Magro Brothers Ltd will be planting 750 trees in Gozo - 10 for every year that the Three Hills Brand has been on the Maltese market.

The trees will be planted in Marsalforn, in an area which is being transformed into a public garden. Most of the trees are indigenous and the garden will be aptly named Ġnejnet it-Tliet Għoljiet.

Donations by American Foundation

The American Foundation for Maltese Charities has presented donations to six local charities.

Marietta Bartoletti, the acting chief of mission, presented cheques to the Sisters of Charity, the Wignacourt Museum, the Eden Foundation, Dar Merħba Bik, the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Caritas Epilepsy Association.
