AXISA. On June 3, ARIADNE, née Cachia, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 89. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Gerald and Maryanne, Marguerite Portelli, John and Jay, Peter and Marica, her beloved grandchildren Johanna and Eric, Karen, Edward and Diane, Andrew and Debbie, Simon and Vanessa, Michael and Agnieszka, Michelle and Simon, Tanya, Sandra, Kristina and her adored great grandchildren Jessica, Kenneth, Rory, Thomas, Louisa, Matthew, Andrea, Timmy, Kaya, Mila, Miguel and Pedro, her sister Arthemis De Maria, sister-in-law Marie Cachia, her devoted carer Usha, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua tomorrow at 9 a.m., for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be celebrated followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Students of Arleen J. Barlow's Vocal Studio will hold a concert in aid of the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund today at 7.30 p.m. at the St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity. Tickets cost €8 and are available from St James.
Gżira school reunion
The Gżira local council will be holding a reunion for those who attended the town's primary school between 1951 and 1989.
The event will take place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Activities Centre in St Albert Street.
