ABBOTT. On May 10, VINCENZA, widow of Harry, of Sliema, aged 94, passed away peacefully at St Vincent de Paul residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughters, Mary and her husband Alex Grech, Josephine, widow of Melvyn Poynter of the UK, and Monica, wife of Joseph Sammut, Mario and Renata Aloysio, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Lina and Charlie Cassar, her brother Victor and Mary Grech, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

MUSCAT. On May 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, CONNIE née Grech, of San Ġwann, aged 65, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Costantino, her mother Maria Grech, her mother-in-law Maria, her children Isabelle, Katia, Kevin and his wife Anita, her grandchildren Zachary, Luke and Michela, her brothers and sisters, Ferdinand, Joseph, Rose and Winnie, their respective spouses, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for San Ġwann parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TANTI. On May 7, in Germany, MARGARET, aged 58, passed away peacefully after an illness. She was surrounded by her family and she leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Alfred and her cherished sons Kenneth and Michael. Loved sister of Mary, Roby, Doris, their spouses, and Anna. Margaret will be greatly missed by all her dear friends and beloved family, she will continue to live on in our hearts. Her spirit will continue to surround us always and may she finally rest in peace. Details of a remembrance service will be advised shortly. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are to be kindly sent to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan.

Archive management

The University of Malta will hold courses in library, information and archive studies and archives and records management as from the next academic year. The courses will be held on a part time basis in the evening.

Qormi band parade

A band parade will take place on Saturday in Qormi to celebrate the local fireworks factory's victory under the spherical shells category in the recent fireworks festival.

The parade will begin at the St Sebastian parish church at 7 p.m. and will end at the Pinto Band Club, where the Eurovision Song Contest will be shown on big screen.

Philately meeting

The Bank of Valletta Philately Club will hold a meeting at the Fatima Sanctuary Convent, Gwardamangia, near the parish priest's office, today at 6 p.m. For more information call 7931 5509.
