BONDIN. On August 16, Sr MYRIAM JOSEPH went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, her nephews Raymond, Joseph and Henry, her nieces May, Marthese, Bernadette, Natalie, Veronica and Isabel, relatives and friends. CESAREO. On August 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINE, of San Ġwann, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lilianne née Falzon, his daughters Roberta, Romina and her husband Michel Portelli, Adriana and her husband Jason Gafà, Clara and her husband Ramon Fenech, his grandchildren Luke, Alex, Andrea, Jack, Kate and Martina, his sister Emma and her husband Joe Mamo, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.15 a.m. for San Ġwann parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. DELMAR. On August 17, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Josephine née Xerri, known as Josette, widow of Emmanuel, aged 61, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved children Josman and his wife Rita, her daughter Elaine and her only grandson Lee, her brother George and his wife Catherine, her sister Sandra and her husband Victor, her nephews Godwin, Christopher and Raphael and her only niece Josephine, her in-laws, other nephews and nieces, all her relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Fatima parish church, Guardamangia, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Arias at St James

Classically trained soprano Francesca Aquilina and mezzo soprano Clare Ghigo will present a showcase of arias, art songs and duets on September 12 at 8 p.m. at St James Cavalier in Valletta entitled Chiaroscuro.

They will be accompanied by pianist Maria Frendo.

Clare and Francesca are currently studying at the Ian Tomlin School of Music at Napier University in Edinburgh where they are under the tuition of mezzo soprano and vocal coach Joan Busby.

Both singers are students of soprano Gillian Zammit and have most recently played the parts of Hansel and Gretel respectively in Humperdinck's opera.

Highlights include Lakme's The Flower Duet, an extract from Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Habanera from Bizet's Carmen.
