CUTAJAR. On June 24, JOHN, of Gudja, residing in Valletta, aged 81, passed away peacefully at St Luke's Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lina, his children Mario and his wife Carmen, Aldo and his wife Isabel, his grandchildren Oriana, Bernard, Kim and Casey, his brothers, his wife's family, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for St Augustine parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

SACCO. On June 22, JOSEPHINE, née Maistre, aged 84, widow of Major Maurice Sacco, MBE, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marguerite and her husband Salvu Xerri, Patricia and her husband Rodger Dyckhoff, Mark and his wife Marie-Claire, her loving grandchildren Philipa, Christopher, Mikela and Selina, as well as family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Casa Antonia and the doctors and staff at the ITU department at Mater Dei Hospital for their loving care and devotion. Drama, music and poetry

Theatre, music and poetry evenings will be held in the Palazzo De La Salle courtyard, Valletta between July 2 and 4, organised by the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

Dù Theatre Group will open the event on July 2 with Il-Ħadd fuq il-Bejt, an animated reading of one of Francis Ebejer's best scripts, accompanied by musicians.

Founded by Simone Spiteri in 2004, the only all-female theatre group in Malta also features Magda Van Kuilenburg, Franica Pulis, Victoria Vella and Kristjana Casha. Dù Theatre have performed all over the world in festivals in Denmark, Egypt, Sicily, Spain, Rome, Tunis and the Czech Republic.

Guitar duo Marc Galea and Steve Delia will play a repertoire of Latin, blues and jazz pieces on July 3, and on July 4 a number of authors will read poetry inspired by the city of Valletta. All performances start at 8 p.m. and are free of charge.

Mosta road closed

Triq San Pawl Tal-Qlejja, Mosta, from the roundabout junction at the Mġarr corner with Triq Il-Kaħwiela, will be closed to traffic between July 7 and 31 due to upgrading works on the wastewater system.

Traffic from Mosta, Attard and Ta' Qali in the direction towards Mġarr and/or St Paul's Bay will be diverted to Triq Buqana, limits of Ta' Qali. Traffic from Mġarr and St Paul's Bay in the direction towards Mosta and Attard will be diverted to Ta' Qali.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Broadband internet offer

Vodafone Malta Limited has introduced two new broadband home internet packages.

They are Basic, at €13.86 (Lm5.95) and Maxi, at €23.00 (Lm9.87).

Customers who wish to have fixed line telephony can do so at an additional €7 (Lm3).

During the International Trade Fair, Vodafone will offer new customers three months free access to Vodafone's broadband home internet upon signing up for a year.

Name change

Creative thinking skills

About 30 members of staff at the Aċċess Community Resource Centre in Vittoriosa underwent training in creative thinking skills by Andrea Dibben who focused on the use of the six thinking hats technique developed by Edward De Bono.
