CASSAR. In loving memory of our beloved JILL who passed away peacefully on January 24 at Mater Dei Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband Edward and her children Denise and her husband Gerald, Michael and Julie, her grandchildren Sasha and her fiancé Matthew, Kay and Tommy, Yazmine and Sam, Hannah, Benjamine, Michela and Thomas, her brothers, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

McCARTAN-MOONEY - MAUD, née Vassallo, passed away peacefully at Casa Antonia, Balzan, after a short illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her beloved daughter Carol and her husband Philip Zammit-Briffa, her beloved son Desmond, Rosemarie, her grandchildren Adam, Christopher and Nicola, her sisters Yvonne Eastman and Christine Tabone, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

PORTELLI - SAM of Mosta, physiotherapist, aged 93, passed away peacefully at St Vincent de Paul residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Tony, residing in America, nephews, relatives and friends.

ZAMMIT - DOLORES, née Salinos, aged 99, formerly of Valletta, widow of Agostino, passed peacefully to the Lord on January 24 at Casa Arkati, Mosta. She is sadly missed by her son and daughters, especially George, Doreen and Monica, wife of Alfred Micallef Attard, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Church Models

The annual exhibition of church models and statues and other sacred items, organised under the auspices of the commission of Christ the King parish feast, Paola, will be held between March 2 and 9 at the parish hall in Church Street, Paola.

Talk On Climate Change

Martin Scicluna will give a talk on Climate Change And Malta's Future Sustainability, organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa, at the Ministry for Gozo, St Francis Square, Victoria on Thursday at 6.30 p.m.

Mr Scicluna will trace Malta's economic, social and environmental development in the last 20 years and look ahead to the challenges facing Malta in the next 20 or so critical years to 2030 when the threat of climate change will be making itself increasingly felt.

He will discuss the unprecedented challenges facing Malta's economy, its society, environment and quality of life in the face of the changes in Malta's climate and, especially, the effects of climate change.

Mr Scicluna is a member of the National Commission for Sustainable Development, a council member of Europa Nostra and sits on the board of the International National Trusts Organisation.

Open Day At Ħaġar Qim

Ħaġar Qim temples, outside Qrendi, will be open to the public tomorrow, enabling visitors to learn about the conservation works being undertaken in conjunction with the installation of a temporary shelter.

The site will be open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the last admission at 4.30 p.m.

Tickets can be bought on site at €4.50 (Lm 1.93) for adults, €2.25 (Lm 0.97) for students and senior citizens and €1 (Lm 0.43) for children between the ages of six and 12.

Qormi Roadworks

Patching works will be carried out along Triq Manwel Dimech in Qormi on Monday between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The road will remain open to two-way traffic. The Malta Transport Authority urged motorists to proceed with caution.
