BEZZINA. On November 15, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Fr STIEFNU BEZZINA, O.Carm., aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his Carmelite brothers, his sisters Sister Massenzia of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Jane Gilson and her husband Victor, nephews and nieces, the director and residents of Dar tal-Kleru, Qaddejja tac-Cenaklu members, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Dar tal-Kleru today at 1 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, St Julians, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the grave of the Carmelite province at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Carmelite missions will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

CARUANA. Suddenly, on November 12, at his residence, CARMEL (known as Charles), aged 70. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Annie, his son Carl and his wife Rachel, his grandchildren Kayleigh and Nicholas, his brother Tony, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 7.30 a.m. for Msida parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.

MINTOFF. On November 13, PAULINE, née Callus, widow of Paul, aged 83, passed away at Villa Messina, Rabat, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lino and his partner Joanna, Vincent and his wife Emily, Rita, Mario and his wife Susan, Paul and his wife Denise, Maria and her husband Angelo Buhagiar, her grandchildren Nicola, Christopher, Lara, Erika, Karl, Stephen, Paula, Michael and Patrick, her brother Emanuel Callus, residing in Canada, Mary Callus, widow of her brother John, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Villa Messina today at 8.45 a.m. for St Dominic church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SUDA. On November 15, ANTHONY, draughtsman at the Malta Shipyards, aged 58, passed away unexpectedly at St Luke's Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marie Louise, his dear children David and Sarah, his sisters Mary and her husband Lawrence, Carmelina and her husband Charles, Pauline and her husband Joseph, and Josephine and her husband Anthony, his brother John and his wife Edwige, his aunt Rita, his mother-in-law Theresa Mifsud and his other in-laws, Doreen, Emmanuel and Michael, all the respective spouses, numerous nephews and nieces, colleagues, other relatives and friends.

Research Seminar

A public seminar on Captivating The Real In Narrative Research is being organised by the Department of Youth and Community Studies within the Faculty of Education at the university, Tal-Qroqq.

The seminar will be held in Lecture Theatre Two between 4 and 8 p.m. on December 6.

An attendance fee of Lm5 (€11.65) will cover a certificate from the University of Malta and the Manchester Metropolitan University, two CDs containing speeches and Powerpoint presentations used throughout the seminar.

Alfa Owners' Sunday Drive

The November event of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club will be a drive from the Luxol ground in St Andrew's to the Danish village in Ghadira for coffee and a chat on Sunday.

Assembly at the Luxol ground is a 9.45 a.m. Non-members are also welcome.

Prayer Meeting

The Committee Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni will hold a prayer meeting at Girgenti, Siggiewi, on Sunday at 3.30 p.m.

The Mission Fund will hold a grand bazaar at 23, Cross Road, Marsa from November 26 until December 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mosta Telephones

Residents in parts of Mosta may have their telephone service temporarily disrupted today between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The disruption is due to cable network maintenance, phone company Go said yesterday.

Zejtun Concert

The Zejtun Band Club will be holding a concert tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. at the Theatre Pandora, Misrah Girgor Bonici, Zejtun. The public is invited.

Christmas Bazaars

A Christmas bazaar will be held at the Paola parish hall, Church Avenue, Paola from December 1 to 9 between 9 a.m. and noon and from 4 to 8 p.m.

A Christmas bazaar, organised by the Committee of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, will be held at the parish centre in Pietà from Saturday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Band Concert

The St Leonard Band Club will be performing at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta on November 27 at 7.30 p.m.

Attendance is free of charge but one has to book a seat by contacting the club at Misrah Kirkop or call 2168 5738.

Choral Concert

The Kor Notre Dame will give a sacred music concert called Ave Spes Solamen at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace, Zabbar to mark the choir's 25th anniversary.

The concert will be held on November 30 at 7.30 p.m. The public is invited.
