BORG. On March 26, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, PHILIP of Balzan, passed away peacefully at the age of 86, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his children Maryanne, widow of Joseph Schembri, Joseph and his wife Josette, Nathalie and Oliver, his grandchildren Roana and David, Sarah, Martina, Matthew and Lara, and his great-grandchildren Zack, Soleil, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, March 29, at 8am, for Our Lady of the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank all the staff at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital for their care and dedication.

CHETCUTI. On March 27, MARK of Mosta, aged 57, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Moira, née Camilleri, his only beloved son Neil and his fiancée Jessica Grima, his loving mother Carmen, his sisters Helga, Celia and husband Mario, his brother Steve and wife Jackie, his nephews Gregory and Luke, his nieces Nina, Michelle and Rebecca, his in-laws Adelaide, Caroline and Ruth and her husband Steve and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, March 30, at 8am, for St Mary’s parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SALIBA. On March 19, at the Maltese Jesuit Mission in India, Fr EMIDIO SALIBA, SJ, aged 76, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta and India, his brother Joseph and his wife Mary, his sisters Mary, widow of Harry Fsadni, Sister Lydie of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Carmen, widow of John Lia, relatives and friends in Malta and India. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated on Saturday, March 30, at 6.30pm, at St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Donations to the Jesuit Mission in India (38, Loyola House, Naxxar NXR2069) will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

VELLA. On March 24, JOHN C. of Mosta, aged 66, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Christ, surrounded by his loving family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Marsha, nee Muscat, his son Andrew and his wife Sharon, his daughter Maria and her husband Keith, his grandchildren Angela, Elena, Jenny and James, his sister Carmen and her husband Frans, his sister Doreen and her husband Joe, his sister Henriette, widow of Alfred, his sister-in-law Carmelina, widow of Neville, his sister-in-law Simone and her husband Carmelo, his sister-in-law Marie and her husband Olvin, his nephews and nieces, dear relatives and friends, and the staff at John C. Vella Sewing Machines. He will always be remembered as John Vella tal-magni tal-ħjata, a passion he always carried with great heart. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, March 29, at 3pm, for St Mary’s Basilica, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3.30pm, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VELLA. On March 25, Sr. VICTORIA FMM, aged 86. She leaves to mourn her loss the sisters of the congregation of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary in Balzan and Marsa, her sisters Mary and her husband Alfred Sant, Grace, wife of the late Alfred Caruana, her brother Paul, husband of the late Annunziata, her relatives in Australia, her nephews and nieces, her friends of the Legion of Mary in Balzan and Ħamrun, friends of the FMM in Balzan and other friends. Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, March 29, at 10am at the convent chapel, 82, St Francis Street, Balzan. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On March 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOE (Bologna), passed away peacefully at the age of 85, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Rosanne, née Axisa, his children Pia and Chris, Gianni and Kirsty, and his granddaughter, Kay. He also leaves to mourn his loss his brothers and sisters, Andre and Victoria, Marie-Louise and Vincent Falzon, Mae, Michael Sant, widower of Monica, Victoria and Edward Melillo, his nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, at 8.30am, at Lija parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Lija cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank the nurses, carers and staff at Casa Leone, St Julians, and at Ward M5, Mater Dei Hospital.

Requiem Mass

Tomorrow being the 32nd anniversary of the death of MARIKA NAUDI, née Hili, a Mass will be said tomorrow, March 29, at 6.30pm, at the Immaculate Conception church, Tal-Ibraġ, St Andrews. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.
