BECK. On June 1, 2018, at her home in Peterborough, UK, ZARA ANNE, née Samuels, widow of Harry Beck (formerly of Ta’ Xbiex), passed away in her sleep, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a very long illness bravely borne. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Robin and Susan together with their spouses, her grandchildren and their families, her new two great-grandchildren, other rela-tives, and many friends in the UK and in Malta. A funeral Mass and burial will take place locally. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SAMMUT. On May 31, SYLVIA, widow of George, passed away suddenly at her residence in Attard, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 82. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters, Mary, wife of Roger Clark, Doris, wife of Charles Sammut and Vivienne, wife of Carmel Fsadni, her sister-in-law Marianne Decelis, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, June 7, at 8.30am, for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May she rest in peace, Amen.
Requiem Masses
Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 6, being the 20th anniversary of the death of CARMEN CAMILLERI, a Mass for the repose of her soul will be said tomorrow at 6.30pm at Tal-Ibraġ parish church. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Her husband Victor, her children Mariella, Silvana and Andrew, Daniela and Mark and grandchildren.
Following the funeral services held in New York for our dear IAN PORTELLI, a Mass for the repose of his soul will be said today, Tuesday, June 5, at 6pm at St George’s Basilica, Victoria, Gozo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Apology
An apology is being made by Mrs Doreen Scerri, widow of Mario Scerri, to Mrs Rita Pace Scerri, stepmother of the deceased. Mrs Pace Scerri’s name was inadvertently omitted from Mario’s obituary on Friday and from the memorial cards distributed during Saturday’s funeral. Mrs Pace Scerri is a resident of Casa San Paolo, Buġibba.
