CARABOTT. On December 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES of Valletta, residing in Birkirkara, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Elizabeth, his children Pierre, widower of Josephine, Therese, Doriette and her husband Alan Vella, Simone and Mark, Noel, Jaqueline and Jean-Claude and his wife Mariella, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, December 22, at 8am, for St Mary’s parish church (Il-Knisja l-Qadima) Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FERRY. On December 21, at Zammit Clapp Residential Home, St Julians, JOSEPHINE of Msida, aged 98, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Peter George and his wife Marie, Maria and her husband Anthony Portelli, Rosemary, widow of her son Neville, her grandchildren Peter and David, Bernard and Daniela, Jean Pierre and Claire and their spouses, her 10 great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Louise, other relatives and friends in Malta, Australia and Canada. The funeral cortège leaves Zammit Clapp Residential Home tomorrow, Saturday, December 22, at 8am, for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Gżira, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (upper gate). No flowers by request, but donations to the Sisters of Saint Clare, St Julians, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. MARKS. On December 20, THERESA (Terry), passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 94, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, and went to meet her daughter Vicki. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband Bob and daughter Johanna (Jo), in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, at 4.30pm, at Kerċem parish church (Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Gregory the Great). No flowers by request but donations to RIDT Cancer Research will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MIFSUD. On December 14, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, MARY, née Sammut, of Sliema, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Catherine and Mark, Josette, Mario and Rachael, Jesmond and Ruth, her grandchildren Sarah, Isaac, Kaya, Raffaella, Sofia and Luca, brothers and sisters and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, December 22, at 7.30am, for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory’s Cemetery, Żejtun. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved son Nikolay and Nikolay’s mother Tatiana, his brother Charlie, his sister Theresa and her husband Fausto, nephew and nieces Henrietta, Stefan, Francesca, Jasmine and Jessica as well as his dear friend Josephine amongst other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, December 24, at 8.15am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On December 18, DANIELA, of Sicilia Bar, aged 39, passed away. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents Toni and Graziella Vella, her sister Rita and her partner Chris, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be held today, December 21, at 2pm at Ta’ Ġieżu church, Valletta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
