BORG. So suddenly, but peacefully, surrounded by family at Mater Dei Hospital, IVAN, passed away on December 8 at the age of 86, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his treasured wife Dorothy, née Azzopardi, his precious daughter Simone and her husband Pierre, his beloved grandchildren, Nicole and Alan, their respective partners Neville and Andreana, his daughter-in-law Dawn, widow of his son George, his sisters, Joyce and her husband Antoine Cachia, and Rosemary, widow of Frank Cachia, nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Monday, December 11, leaving Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (back entrance). Lord, grant him eternal rest. A prayer for a true gentleman is solicited. Special thanks to the caring staff at the ITU Department, Mater Dei Hospital, and at the Simblija Hilltop Residential Care Home for all their loving care.
PACE. On December 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDWARD, aged 81, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his brothers and sisters Rose, Charles and his wife Carmen, Miriam and her husband Michael, Andrew and his wife Rose, Iris and her husband Aronne, and Frida and her husband Mario, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, December 12, at 8am for Gżira parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
