André Schembri has reached an agreement to rejoin Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.

The Malta forward terminated his contract with FSV Frankfurt earlier this week, citing personal reasons for his decision to leave the German club where he found it difficult to settle.

Having enjoyed two excellent seasons with Omonia, Schembri has accepted the club's offer to play for them again as the 28-year-old striker, who is currently enjoying a break in Malta, was eager to return to a familiar environment in light of his difficulties in Frankfurt.

Schembri, who has 63 caps for Malta, has agreed an 18-month contract with Omonia Nicosia who are sixth in the Cypriot league.
