Rodney Andrew Molt, 24, an American from Alabama, has been jailed for six years and fined €15,000 after he admitted in court to having imported and been in possession of half a kilo or the drug known as miao miao (mephedrone).

The man was arrested, along with a Romanian woman on March 4, 2011 after a package containing the drug arrived by air from Prague.

The woman is also facing drug charges.
