Alligators are currently waiting for visitors to feed them during the fifth annual Alligator Egg Hatching Festival in Palmdale, Florida. The young alligators are in the holdoing gtank of Gatorama, the state’s oldest surviving gator farm.
Gatorama started in the 1950s as an old-fashioned roadside attraction and has grown to become a pioneer and leader in the Florida alligator industry – the most successful sustainable use model in the world for recovering an endangered species. “The place is a family operated farm with three generations working daily to provide customers with the best tail and ribs – anywhere!” a spokesman for the farm said.
