Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri cursed his team's luck after the league leaders were held to a 1-1 draw at Genoa.
The Rossoneri saw their advantage at the top of the Serie A standings reduced to just three points over Napoli, who won 2-0 at home to Cesena.
In their midweek game, Milan drew at home to Lazio, missing a further chance to remain in total control at the summit.
"I am not worried," Allegri said. "It was not easy to win in Genoa.
"With Lazio in the previous round we were unlucky. Today we gave away a goal after a deflection gave Genoa a chance to score and drew a game without our rivals getting any other shots on goal.
"The goal conceded at the end of the first half conditioned the team.
"We were in a hurry to find the winner at all costs.
"My team played well in the first half but after the restart we didn't. We remain calm and focused in order to improve."
Alexandre Pato had put Milan ahead before Genoa's Antonio Floro Flores levelled on the stroke of half-time.
