A new version of the Alfa Romeo 147 has been launched by UCIM Co. Limited.

The Alfa 147 has had a facelift just four years after it was launched on the market, a makeover which is most noticeable from the front - a larger grill and slanting headlamps which retain the aggressive and distinctive appearance.

The model comes in a choice of petrol and diesel engines ensuring low fuel consumption. The two 1.6 litre twin spark petrol engines and the 2.0 litre produce nearly maximum torque values at only 2000 revolutions per minute.

The manufacturers say excellent performance is also ensured by the diesel engines.

A range of gearboxes now consisting of four units matches engine power. The model also comes in a five-speed and six-speed manual gearbox for the 150 horsepower 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine, a clutch-free Selespeed and the new Alfa Romeo robotised easy speed transmission. The Alfa 147's colour scheme has been revitalised to feature eight fresh colours of the 14 available. The upholstery range has its changes too, making a personalised colour preference easier to combine.

UCIM Co. is expected to introduce a 1.6 litre Impression version of the new 147 boasting of 105 brake horsepower. The aim is to make the model more reachable to the younger target market. This version is slightly trimmed in accessories when compared to the 120 BHP distinctive version, offering a competitive price bracket.
