Alberta Group recently hosted a seminar for stakeholders in the fire, safety and security systems industry at the Caraffa Stores at Cottonera Waterfront.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the best practices in the management of fire, safety and security and create a forum for discussion and sharing with the objective of raising industry standards.

Addressed by local and foreign speakers, the forum consisted of information sessions about the Loss Prevention Certification Board and independent third party approvals of fire products and installers, presented by BRE Global and fire doors and certification by Warrington Fire Global Safety.

Presentations were made by the Malta Standards Authority, the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, the Civil Protection Department, and Mediterranean Survey Bureau (Valletta).

Attendees included architects, engineers, consulting engineers, professionals from the insurance industry and property and facilities managers.

The event is one in a series held by Alberta Group to increase corporate standards in this industry.
