Even the bumbling French Inspector Clouseau, as portrayed by the incomparable late Peter Sellers, would have had a field day digging into the John Dalli air tickets saga connected with the travel company Tourist Resources Ltd.
I recently tabled parliamentary questions to each and every ministry, enquiring whether any of the ministries and/or the departments and corporations that fell under their responsibility had purchased any air tickets from this company.
While, in all fairness, the majority of ministries did not, the following data relating to the departments that fell under Minister Dalli's own responsibility at the time when he was still Minister of Finance makes interesting reading:
