Air Malta will again operate charter flights to and from six regional airports in the UK this summer.
The airline said that as from May 1, it will operate weekly charter flights to/from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Newcastle and Norwich airports.
The charter operations to these airports will be in addition to the airline's regular schedule services to and from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, as well as to Manchester.
These charter services will run until October 30.
Commenting on these services, Philip Saunders, Chief Commercial Officer said these charter flights increase accessibility to the islands from regional UK airports and offer travellers the opportunity to reduce travelling time and costs.
These services were made possible following the support received from the respective airports as well as from tour operators and travel trade partners in the area, he said.
Mr Saunders said that such operations further confirmed the airline's commitment to boost incoming tourism to Malta from the UK - Malta's primary tourism market.
"We expect to carry around 48,000 passengers on these services," he said.
