Air Malta is offering 35,000 seats to 26 destinations at a starting price of €67 (Lm28.76) one way, including taxes and charges, as it prepares to commemorate the anniversary of its 35 years of service.

"Throughout its 35 years of sterling operations, Air Malta proved that it is the major driving force behind the development of the thriving local tourism industry," said Joe Cappello, Air Malta's chief executive officer.

"Air Malta was, is, and will remain committed to the Maltese community and its economy. Throughout these years the airline has grown to become one of the most important Maltese pillars, not only assisting the tourism sector but also providing businesses that operate in this country with a wide distribution network abroad.

"With this offer we wish to thank specifically the Maltese community who has supported us throughout these years."

The offer is valid for travel between November 6 and March 31, 2009, excluding the period between December 17 and January 8, 2009. The destinations on offer are Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Birmingham, Brussels, Budapest, Catania, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Hamburg, Istanbul, London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, Leipzig, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Sofia, Tunis, Vienna and Zurich.

Reservations and ticketing have to be effected by May 28. Certain conditions and travel restrictions may apply.

Flyaway Tours hotels with excellent value for money in all countries are also available, the airline said.
