Air Malta has launched its summer schedule, which includes flights to Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
This summer, the airline is offering passengers thirteen new destinations, including Cagliari, Comiso, Kiev, Tarbes-Lourdes, St Petersburg, Venice, Manchester, Frankfurt and London Southend.
It will also fly to and fly to Casablanca, Malaga and Lisbon.
The new schedule will see Air Malta operate a total of 34 schedules routes with over 180 return flights per week, and three news intra-European services.
It will operate routes between Catania – Vienna, Catania – London Southend and Cagliari – London Southend.
Air Malta will initially operate with a fleet of nine aircraft, with an additional new Airbus A320 being added to the fleet in the coming months.
The airline’s chairman Charles Mangion said the ambitious schedule would see Air Malta operating 18,230 flights, an increase of 30 per cent more than last year.
Dr Mangion said the airline was aiming to carry over 2.3 million passengers, amounting to a 43 per cent increase than last year, and a historical record for Air Malta.
Direct flights will be operated to Amsterdam, Birmingham, Bristol, Brussels, Cagliari, Catania, Casablanca, Comiso, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gatwick, Geneva, Lisbon, Heathrow, London Southend, Lourdes, Lyon, Kiev, Malaga, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Palermo, Charles De Gaulle, Paris Orly, Prague, Rome, St Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Tunis, Venice, Vienna and Zurich.
